Special features of the VOIGT MOTO TECHNIK brake levers & clutch levers
Handle width continuously adjustable:
The adjustment wheel allows infinitely variable adjustment of the lever distance to the handlebar grip. This allows for maximum individualisation. The compact design of the levers allows them to function freely, even if the switch sensors (plastic parts on the inner part of the handles) are large.
Fixed folding function:
The levers can fold upwards to avoid major damage to the lever and the vehicle fittings in the event of falling over. To ensure that the levers themselves are free of play, a small aluminium diabolo is installed which breaks under the influence of greater force and only then allows the lever to fold down (the aluminium diabolos are easy to replace). For safety reasons, the lever can never fold down (secured by a stainless steel pin).
Optimized ergonomics:
The grip area of the lever (especially for the index and middle finger) is wider than usual, as this is where the highest load takes place. This has a positive effect on the grip feeling.
Backlash-free connection between lever and mounting adapter:
Special threaded sleeves significantly reduce the play between the lever and the adapter. With many competitor products, especially in active use, there is noticeable play here, which is likely to bother the quality-conscious rider.
CNC milled and anodised:
The VMT brake and clutch levers are CNC-milled from high-strength aluminium and anodised. A so-called "riffling" process gives the levers a slightly rippled and therefore very tactile surface. The levers are highly corrosion-resistant.
Safety and ABE certificate:
Due to the enclosed ABE certificate (general operating permit), these levers are usually exempt from registration. Please observe the conditions and notes from the ABE. The ABE is issued by the Kraftfahrt Bundesamt (Federal Motor Transport Authority) on the basis of tests by a technical service (TÜV) and compliance with strict standards. The KBA number is laser engraved on the lever.
